Anime movie which i watched at the weekend, was in released in Japan a 2 45 minute OVA's but Manga Entertainment combined them into one to form a movie.
Manga Entertainment UK had the best trailers, use to record the music of the tv and listen to them on my super massive Sony Walkman, miss these great old advertisments
Synopsis The land of Zer’lue is in turmoil, ravaged by the technological might of Chairman Sana'ku and his evil, militaristic Zul’earth forces. In a rapidly unfolding story of treachery, deceit and betrayal, only one boy holds the power to defeat such overwhelming odds... a boy named Lue'der, who possesses a mysterious red eye and the ability to control the power of the wind itself. With the fate of the world at stake, Lue'der must learn to unlock his legendary power and battle against the evil which threatens to engulf his planet.
Kinda uninspiring anime, thought that when i saw Masamune Shirow created the Mecha, possible the script and the character design (best part of the movie) that i would be for a Appleseed style treat, not so.
Wanted to watch this because years ago like maybe 14 ish years ago i remember seeing this as a new release but not being able to afford it, a staggering £14.99 back then and not old enough to buy it, if i had the money i would have just ask a friends older brother to buy it for me anyway.
Never caught onto the name of the character, they were too weird and when ever a character talk about someone else i was unsure who they where referring to, much easier to stick with Han, Luke and Leia than Lue'der, Sana'ku and what other crazy made up name i forget.
Interesting parts was the family ties, father who finds a boy and brings him up as his son who has a sister who has a twin who's the enemy who kills her own father without knowing who fake father knew and is a real nutter.
I think a 2/5 is the rating i'd give this, not great and quite struggle to watch all 1 hour and 30 minutes but a relief to finish it. Alway think those quotos on movie poster a unreliable "Excellent, simply gorgeous in all aspects", should have been "Great idea and designs but could have been so much better"

I just watched Gundam Igloo yesterday. I like anime too. Thx for the heads up!
Watching MS Igloo at the moment, really like it with lot of mecha action from the soliders point of few. Gravity Front storys are my favorite bunch.
