Another new purchase, this time a F/A-18E Super Hornet from dragon which looks like a good kit.
Looks much better than the F-14A i bought a whle back, thought that was a good kit a first before i built it and it turned out to be quite bad.
Decide im niot going to start any new kits until ive finished all the one ive got on the bench first, seemed to keep starting models and not finishing many, so this going into the ever growing stash.

Nice blog you got going here.
I have a Dragon Super Hornet kit. Started it, but never finished it.
Just to warn you - be VEEERRRY careful with the canopy. It tends to crack easily.
Cheers, if i dont crack it i can always get the dreaded super-gluevapors ruin it.
How dod it go together? Last dragon kit i assembled needed alot of putty due to bad fitting surfaces.
There are certain places that definitely need putty. The area where the cockpit joins the nose gave me lots of trouble. In fact it's why I never finished it. When I started applying some paint, I realized I didn't do a good job in filling in the gap.
I don't like the design of this kit. The breakdown of the parts seems to be not well thoughtout. Sculpt is good though. It's why I haven't trashed it yet (despite the cracked canopy and other mistakes I've made). :)
Sounds like the same problems ive had with all the Dragon 1/144 kits, details look great but putting them together reveils big shortfalls.
