Another Platz kit i picked up in Akihabara and this time a pussycat from Grumman with more artwork on the front from IKE. This was on my list to buy so i could build it at the same time as a Sweet Wildcat.
Like how nearly all the WW2 fighter have the practically the same setup and size of sprue. All very nice with plenty lots of quality detail.

Close showing all the excellent vertical panel lines.

Only 3 marking to choose from, seems to me that for a fighter of this size kits usually come with 5 or 6 different schemes to choose from.
Not sure which one to model, like the crazy face one but alot of modellers model that, grey is quite rare for WW2.

Cartograf decals which nearly all the manufactures use and for good reason.

Once upon a time Revell has made Hellcat in 1:144.

But now it is some kind of ultra vintage kit and Platz version is far way better than Revell.
I have one of it in my modelling graveyard ;)
Do the sharkeyes. Everything looks better in sharkeyes.
