1/144 scale - RAF Panavia Tornado GR4 "Shiney Two" - Finished - 2
Finished what i think is my best yet. A mix of Revell and DML Dragon kits to make this Panavia Tornado GR4 - ZD478 in special markings for the 95th Anniversary of  No. 2 Squadron in 2007.

Port view of the open panels are computer interfaces, really happy with how these turned out, going to be try it on some future models.

MARK 1. Ltd 1/144 dozen set - Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon -

MARK 1. Ltd 1/144 dozen set - Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon - Front cover

Brilliant reference book i received today for the Typhoon which comes with some awesome decals in 1/144 scale for 12 different jets from the 6 air forces which currently use the Eurofighter.

First 1/144 scale decals that Mark 1. Ltd have done and a fine set to enter the scale with. All the different scale come with the same book or more like a mook which has a page of photo of the jet to be modeled and a detail painting of the jet from various angles.

On the inside in bold letter it states no photo to be taken and shared on the web so no pics of the excellent selection of references but can tell you that there some of the best ive seen.

MARK 1. Ltd 1/144 dozen set - Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon - Back cover.

Back cover shows all the great Typhoon that can be modeled, 4 new RAF livery for the single seater and even have double seater decals for the model which is bound to be released from Revell in the future, making the single seater i noticed a few bit inside the model ready for the double version.

Unfortunately for the Luftwaffe modeller the decals that comes with this set are the same squadron which comes with the Revell model but different serial number but that means in total 3 Typhoons from the same Luftwaffe squadron can be modeled as the Revell kit has 2 other serial number for the same squadron, cool for a line dio maybe.

Want to model all of these, to model them all would cost me the same as one 1/32 scale Typhoon.

One that i would do in a different livery is the Royal Saudi Air Force Typhoon, recently seen in a really fantastic desert livery that is just like the Nato jets in "Operation Desert Storm"

Hoping for more 1/144 scale dozen sets in the future.

Revell 1/144 Eurofighter TYPHOON - Cockpit done, built and ready to be primed - Wip -

Revell  1/144 Eurofighter TYPHOON - Cockpit Wip - 2
Started this little beauty of a kit during the weekend, got quite far with it in a short time.

My own little pilot i sculpted for the cockpit. Going to try and make more modern and WW2 1/144 pilots.
No decal for the control panel with the revell kit which i thought it being a new one it would have, had to dig through my left over for one.
Revell  1/144 Eurofighter TYPHOON - Cockpit Wip - 1

Basic build all done and ready to be primed, left  the nose off as its a different shade of grey and wanted to try painting it separately then gluing in on afterward, see how that turns out.

Also tried Humbrol Maskol on the cockpit, stuff stinks of old fish and totally ruins the brush you, reckon i won't be using that again useless for camo designs.

Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01

Quality little OVA this anime. Known simply as Madox 01 here in the UK and can be found in any anime bargain bin being only 45 minutes long. I think the awesome poster above explain it all, mecha + military = action. Anime don't seem to have these fantastic painted artworks anymore,

Very simple but effective plot, private contractor building this "Metal Skin" for the US military in Japan, little accident happen where student finds prototype skin, wears skin but there is unable to get out of it and has a little adventure as he tries to meet up with his girlfriend who waiting for him.

Action filled and funny with some quality animation, the late 80's, early 90's cel painted works are my favorite and its always good to find a new one to watch.

MADOX-01 payload, nothing like overkill with the weapons.

Sweet 1/144 - Mitsubishi A6M3 Model 22 Zero Fighter - "202nd Flying Group" -

Sweet 1/144 - Mitsubishi A6M3 Model 22 Zero Fighter - "202nd Flying Group" - 1

The best 1/144 scale kit ive yet built, the detail is amazing for something so small.

Canopy took me quite sometime to get right, amazing that a pilot could win a dogfight with so many obstacles in your line of sight.

Toned down the panel line with this build, wanted to be able to see the panels but not for them to stand out too much.

This photo seems somewhat wrong, i think it needs to be pointed the opposite direction like in aircraft profiles.

[Kit Review] - Revell 1/144 - Eurofighter TYPHOON (single seater) -

DSC01437

A new kit from Revell which ive been really looking forward to getting my hands on. Its doesn't disappoint, excellent detail, decals for Luftwaffe and Royal Air Force No.11 Squadron, (one of my favorites) and loads of weapons, an entire sprue from them!

Going to start this as soon as i can, bought a couple so i can hopefully build up a nice collection of Typhoon from various RAF squadron and various other air force who use her.

This is the single seater version no doubt a double seater in the future, i mean why state it if your not going to release the other version.

DSC01477

Nice access panels, will have to do something with those in the future.

DSC01486

Excellent detail, lot of nice panel lines.

DSC01479

Royal Air Force No.11 squadron decals, result!

DSC01452

Paint guide, only difference in colour is the nose cone but im sure that both air forces typhoon have there own unique grey. Sad that i know that.

DSC01458

An entire sheet for the painting and detailing the weapons, go Revell!

 DSC01468

Be sure to see this being built soon.

1/144 - MSN-01 High Mobility Psycommu System Zaku -

1/144 - MSN-01 High Mobility Psycommu System Zaku - 2

Model which i only wanted to spend a couple of hours on and did, didn't want to spend much time on this half complete older kit.

Painted the boosters, marker and then glued together, with a few dry transfer i had left of from a zaku. Glad i never bought it at full price, quite the chunky suit. Stiill cool to get one of these old MSV.

1/144 - MSN-01 High Mobility Psycommu System Zaku - 1

Painted the inside of the engines red like on NASA rockets.
1/144 - MSN-01 High Mobility Psycommu System Zaku - 3
Arms can move but can't hold any poses, no ploycaps in the 80's?

1/144 Psycommu Zaku ebay win.

Psycommu Zaku ebay win.
Got off ebay for the meager sum of 0.99 pence, only going to spend a hour on this and hoping that all the parts are there on the half done gunpla.

The older picture make this guy look quite cool but the model looks like it might be a lame duck.

Rebuild of Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance

Watched last night and damn it was good! So many jaw dropping moments, going to watch again.

The first Rebuild of Evangelion was pretty much a redo of the first few episode of the TV series with a few updated scenes and better looking angels but this took the next batch of episode and totally changed what happened and added redesigned angels, a new character and blow my fragile little mind. If only all anime could be as awesome as this.

Got to love all the military hardware in this, i don't think NERV has ever heard of overkill.

Very important scene after the credits, gotta watch that.
