Star War : The Clone Wars - The Umbara Arc

Epguide407

Just finished watching all 4 episodes set on the Shadow World of Umbara, brilliant!!! These 4 basically clone center stories are the best ive seen in the Clone Wars fro some time and it always seems to be the stories from the clone point of view i like the most.

Really like how it showed the the clones are actually men instead of grown in tube soldiers, incredible dark set of episode not just visually which looked fantastic but emotionally and the echoes of Order 66 in the last episode really got me exited clone in Phase 2 armor hunting a Jedi, awesome!

Feel The Clone Wars improving every season, story and beauty of the animation. Looks like the animators are now almost able to full a screen with close for epic action.

Star Wars F-toys 1/144 -Tie Bomber -

DSC07148
Something that past me by was the series 4 of F-toys 1/144 Star War line, no news of series 5 yet? Probable because there was only one 1/144 scale vehicle i wanted the other being a re-painted Y-wing and the rest scales other than 1/144. Have been watching this on eBay for sometime waiting to grab one at a low price and happened to get 2, result.

Another great release form f-toys, with such a awesome amount of detail. Always been one of my favorite star wars vehicl, it just looks right.

Hasbro Star Wars - IG-88 - Or maybe its the Death Star 2 main computer.

DSC04739

Was in the local supermarket and from a habit which i can't seem to doing even though i don't collect anymore i thought i check out the toy aisle, which i always do anyway. Looked at the new Hasbro 3 3/4 IG-88 and thought  "your mine"

DSC04759

EU - IG-88 > DEATH STAR 2 MAIN COMPUTER, fair enough.

Been a while since i actually bought a Star Wars action figure that's not a Clone or Stormtrooper, this guy is quality!  Great detail and lots of articulation, which is much better than the 1/6 scale one i got up in the loft somewhere.

All i got to do now is resist buying more except some Jawas, they'd be cool to get.
Not as affordable as i remember?

F-toys 1/144 Star Wars Collection 4

600971

From 3 collections all in 1/144 scale to the 4th being a mixed bag. As cool a the Slave 1, Imperial Shuttle and Star Destroyer are im gong to give them a miss and get me a few Tie Bombers, that looks very sweet. Got to keep to one scale or im domed to have a antic filled with randoms.

Y-wing is a reissue which has hardly changed, why not a Clone Wars TV version, Hope the secret item is also 1/144 V-19 Torrent, Cloud Car? But reckon it will be a Jango Fett Slave 1.

F-toys Star Wars 1/144 - Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Red-5 -

Star Wars 1/144 - X-Wing Red-5 - 4

May the Fourth be with you.

Had to post something for the very cool twist on May the 4th, Star Wars day.

A F-toys X-wing dirtied up and small detailed added, this X-wing is a very cool little model, the wings actually move into attack position which is awesome for something so small. Was too clean for me so had to be really dirtied up.

Revell - Y-Wing -

Revell - Y-wing - 3

The non-scale or box scale Y-wing from Revell finished. Very easy and quick model this and for a practice model for the airbrush i think it turned out fine.

Revell - Y-Wing - 2
Random red marking, which i guess could make it Red Leader or something similar.

Revell Y-wing Wip

Revell Y-wing Wip

Did a very quick job of adding a little something to the Y-wing. Used the gundam markers to add some kill marks and the red which i added at random, did'nt do anything special as this only being a practice model, only idea i had was that i wanted it to have red like some of the pre-production model of the y-wing ie seen.

Added silver scratch marks aswell but they've seemed to somewhat dissappear about 20 minutes after being applyed.

Nest to to add a heavy wash of the Promodellers wash which i always enjoy, should really dirty it up for that real world original trilogy style.

Would you like some paint with that Y-wing

First coat, lots of paint!

First attempt with the airbrush, lots of paint. Figured this out after i painted the entire model was the super high pressure i'd been blasting the paint with. Meant to have the pressure from the compressor around 1.5 to 2 psi when doing a normal coat of paint, i had it around the 8/9 mark.

Truble was aswell was that trying to get to tiny spot i'd miss i'd end up going over a part i had already been heavily again and again. Still quite a nice over all finish that i could'nt really get with a paint brush.

Still learn from the mistakes, got plenty of models to mess up with.

First attempt with the airbrush

Revell Y-wing built and ready to be airbrushed.

DSC07678

Very quick model to build, ready to go in under half an hour.

Finally got to use the tamiya masking tape to mask what is was intended for, the masking took the most time but i think it turned out okay.

Getting airbrushing very soon.

Unwanted models for airbrush practice.

Unwanted model which im going to use for airbrush practice

These are a bunch of kit which i never really intended to build inless for some sort of practice beccause there either out of scale of lack detail.

Revell Y-wing - Is a non-scale model which i bought long time ago but never got around to building, looks quite toy like with it being pre-painted and snap-fit.

Revell 1/144 Fulcrum - Very much under-scale for 1/144, good practice using that for the beautiful blue hues Russian planes have.

Revell Jedi Starfigther - Never realised i had this one, going to build but proablie won't bother painting such a small thing, also non-scale.

Revell 1/144 F-117 Stealth Fighter - Real cheap kit i picked up 99p, which ive read is lacking alot of detail and is somewhat in-accurate.

Bandai 1/144 Nousjadeul Ger - Overy 20 year old kit which really ain't up to much.

LS 1/144 F-15 - Started this one but it ain't all that good but hoping that i make something decent from it as its one of the most beautiful fighter ever.

Star War The Clone Wars - Clone Commanders -

All the clone commanders from hasbro that ive so far bought Clone Commander Gree, Clone Commander Cody and Clone Captain Rex.

Really like these figures, so much better than the on i had like 10 years ago but then they where half the price.

Lovin Season 2 of The Clone Wars, which i now get to watch on starwars.com which has changed since season 1 which i think was only available in USA.

Star Wars - Obi-Wan's Blue Eta-2 Jedi Interceptor - 1/144 Scale

DSC07104
Obi-Wan Kenobi blue Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor or Jedi Interceptor which he used to hunt for General Grevious in the Utapau system.

F-toys 1/144 scale starfighter with S-foils in closed postion, repainted, decals then applied which. Finished with some Pro-modeller's wash and a little weatheirng with the Tamiya masters.

Really happy with the way it turned out, amazing that such a vehicle so small has such a level of detail, even a simple cockpit inside which most of the Star Wars vehcile from F-toys except there hidden behind the black windows.

Decaled Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter on the iTouch, its quite small.

iTouch for scale, Eta-2 is quite small.

Decaled up and ready a wash for the panel lines and then a clear coat.

Wanted something to show how small this is but thought a coin would be wrong as there a quite a few of them in the world and when i seen never know how big the blogger currency actuallt is as we have coins which go from small to quite big (for coins).

Figured that most who would visit a blog would have seen, held or owned a iTouch or iPhone. Scratched the iTouch last week, corner closet in the photo, AHHH! Now i buy a protective screen, after the horse has bolted as they say.

Blue 1/144 Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter Wip 2, all painting complete.

Blue detailing and weapons painted.

All the basic paint work now done, the blue paneling, weapons and engines all finished.

Still need to apply decals, panels lines and a little weathering.

Re-painted the 3 go-fast stripes at the rear a few times, then more the a few times to get them perfect perfect.

Star Wars Obi-wan's 1/144 Blue Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter Wip

Obi-Wan's Utapau Blue Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter

Been very busy over the holiday period and did'nt get much done in the way of modeling but eveything a back to normal until the crazy period again next year.

Really like these tiny F-toys Eta-2 star-fighter, nice amount if detail for somethng so small. But not too keen on the grey paint, prefer the silver that ive seen other model painted in.

Plan on doing 26 differnet colour schemes for the Eta-2 and the first and my favorite clour id the blue one Obi-wan uses when he searches for General Greivous on Utapau.

First thing i did was glue the s-foils down and remove any flash from the molding.

Blue 1/144 Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter Wip 1

Then i repaint the entire fighter in a dark silver.

Blue 1/144 Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter Wip 2

Heres what i think was the hardest part, painting the super small R2 unit in a gold bronze deco.

Painted up R2 unit.

The silver is still kind of tacky, going to leave it a few day to really dry before painting anything more. Should have left the R2 unit until the silver was really dry because in keep leaving figure prints on the model which are the same size as it.

Star Wars The Clone Wars - Commander Gree -

Star wars Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 7

Picked up a new clone commander from my local supermarket surprisingly, noticed that the shop had a new toy section and being geeky like i am i went and had a look to see what they had. Caught my attention was the excellent selection of star wars figures. When ever ive been to Toy-R-Us all the good star wars figures have all gone but at the supermarket they had all the good ones, sweet.

Star wars Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 2Star wars Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 1

Went ahead and picked up Gree to add to the my clone Commanders Cody and Rex. Would have bought R2-D2 and C-3PO but i think they were releashed last year so no longer sent to shops. After i left the store and returned home i regretted not buying the Jawas, OT goodness.

Star Wars The Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 3

Quality little figure, really dig the design of the clone in the series and it looks like all the the clone are really accurate to the on screen conterparts. Paint app is nice and clean, articulation is lacking but then a figure at the size woud have to loose articulation over how good the figure looks.

Star Wars The Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 6

Gree has got to have one of the most unusally hair cuts in the show so far, from production art ive seen looks like there going to be even more crazy haircuts to help the clone indivdualise themselves. Removable helmet looks and fits perfectly.

Star Wars The Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 4

Unlike the plain white cannon fodder clone, Gree comes with a pistol and holder and a nice bondilear over his chest, which is scuplted to fit around he figure perfectly. Figure also comes with a big chunky projectile toy (different to what shown on the packaging) but not a fan of those so did'nt bother to take pics of it.

Star wars Clone Wars - Commander Gree - 5

Saw Commander Gree in the latest Geonois arc that was outstanding, did'nt speak at all if i remember.Ian
