Revell 1/144 Sukhoi S-37 Berkut - Wip 2 - Paint
Berkut being all black is a bit of a pain to keep nice and clean, already after 1 day there little white dust marks which my eyes home in on and every time i touch her a finger print is left. But luckily once i glossed the surface ready for decaling they all disappeared.
Decided to cover of the white parts with masking tape to keep them clean and as something to hold on to so i don't leave any more marks on the birds.

Revell 1/144 MIG 1.44 MFI - WIP 3 - Paint
The MFI all painted up yesterday, looks like i annihilated the under shading again. Upper surface is standard light grey and the belly is this cold looking Russian blue which i i like on the Flanker and Backfire.
Had been glossed today and ready for all 10 decals or so to be applied. No weapons which makes this model finishing very easy.

F-toys 1/144 Star Wars Collection 4
From 3 collections all in 1/144 scale to the 4th being a mixed bag. As cool a the Slave 1, Imperial Shuttle and Star Destroyer are im gong to give them a miss and get me a few Tie Bombers, that looks very sweet. Got to keep to one scale or im domed to have a antic filled with randoms.
Y-wing is a reissue which has hardly changed, why not a Clone Wars TV version, Hope the secret item is also 1/144 V-19 Torrent, Cloud Car? But reckon it will be a Jango Fett Slave 1.

Remodeled and repainted F-toys 1/144 - RAF Spitfire Vb - Completed
The F-toys 1/144 - RAF Spitfire Vb from the wing legends collection which i remodeled and then repainted. Took apart, built a new cockpit then glued back together, seams filled then repainted and decaled using spares from a Minicraft kit. Spitfire depicted is from a Polish squadron which i quite like the look of.
F-toys spitfire is a fine kit but really am looking forward to a proper injection or resin kit instead of this display toy, wings look far to chunky and could do with finer details. Still great to get a spitfire in the collection as its the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain where the Spitfire became a British Legend.

Looking at the photo, i realised i forgot to do some weathering with the Tamiya set.

Mighty Space Miners
Something i watched last night which i really enjoyed but sadly never got an ending. Ends on a cliffhanger because of bad sales when it was released i think, only 2 episodes when there should have been 3 or more maybe.
Really like the concept, in the future a company in Earths orbit captures meteors and then mines them and ships the resources back to Earth. Really liked the designs in the show, all seemed very plausible. My favorite design is this massive flying aircraft carrier which space shuttles are sent out to space from Earth, no need for massive rocket if your so high up in the sky for shuttle launches.
Main story about this kid who wants to pass hi astronaut tests amongst a big disaster while the company trys and captures some Hailey's comet. A very funny show as well, shame it left on a cliffhanger, i thought it was quality, guess with the many OVA's released during the 80's this on just got missed.

Revell 1/144 MIG 1.44 MFI - WIP 1 - It has already begun.
Get that reference?
Started to build what looked like a super easy build but with only 6 pieces glued together, there plenty of gaps between the seam (just like Matt warned), out comes with the putty.and Mr Surfacer.
Just below the cockpit where the canards attach is quite bad and luckily only under the wings where they attached, glued them so that the top will not have to have any putty. Reckon this is will only be what needs work, the rest looks easy.

[Kit Review] - Revell 1/144 - MIG 1.44 MFI -
Sprues for the MIG 1.44 MFI, basically the same as the Berkut. Must have been designed by the same guy at the same time.
Like that the radome is separate, no putty and sanding ruining that shape. Unlike the berkut which had internal weapons bay look ike the 1.44 has a recessed area under the belly for missiles and check out the delta wings, there massive. Other wise the the kit is quite basic would have liked it a it in a few more pieces for more detail. but quite good for 1/144 scale compared to what is out there.
Looks like a quick decal job, nothing fancy on a soviet jet.

Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon
Watched a series on the telly about 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, which visited this museum in Hendon which i never knew about and not very far away. So jump onto the train and checked it out.
Massive place with over 100 aircraft from around the world, will be coming back the the future, missed of 2 hangers due time and free entry!
My favorite aricraft, the EE Lightning, what a beauty!

Revell 1/144 Sukhoi S-37 Berkut - Wip 1- Built and ready for paint.
One cool looking jet, those swept forward wing and all black, deadly.
Started this kit but in the pic its practically built, only took me 2 nights which, one to glue together then the next night and then rush the cockpit, really very simple and did not take me much time. Everything fits fine so far, can see how little putty ive needed for the the joints.
Think i didn't put any effort into the cockpit which i now wish i did, next time i do some modelling i might take off the canopy and add a little bit more detail in there.

Revell 1/144 Russian Advanced Technology Demonstrators
Two 1/144 scale kits released by Revell of 4.5 / 5 Generation demonstrators, which i guess got shelved after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Mikoyan Project 1.44 or Mig 144 Mfi and the Sukhoi S-37 Berkut, which ive also seen as Su-47.
Going to build both at the same time, bought the Mig off eBay and got the Berkut in a trade.
Berkut might be a but of a pain being all black, worried about dust ruining it .

Armored Trooper Votoms - 2010 Mecha Marathon
Almost completed my 2010 Mecha Marathon, after 2008 Macross and 2009 but sliding into 10 a little UC Gundam.
Another awesome anime from Sunrise, very much a mature sci-fi which is very much grounded in the Real Robot genre. Ive enjoyed the series, the one off mini movies and the the top quality OVAs.
Here is the list of what ive watched so far, which i watched in broadcast order unlike UC gundam which i viewed in chronological:
Armored Trooper Votoms : 52 episode TV series
Armored Trooper Votoms - The Last Red Shoulder : OVA/ Mini Movie
Armored Trooper Votoms - Big Battle : OVA/ Mini Movie
Armored Trooper Votoms - Red Shoulder Document - Roots of Treachery : OVA/ Mini Movie
Armored Trooper Votoms - Shining Heresy : 5 episode OVA
Armored Trooper Votoms - Palisen Files : 12 episode OVA plus a recap movie
That is alot of action packed mecha action there and there is still a new bunch if OVAs going to be released soon which are meant to be the very last Votoms to be made and a side story series in the Votoms universe but with different character that looks quite good Armored Hunter Mellowlink.
Im sure Votoms was only mentioned once during the entire marathon i heard, most if the time the mecha are referred to as AT, Armored Trooper or the classic mecha Scope Dog.
Thinking about the next Mecha Marathon, could be Space BattleShip Yamato, quite a few episode in there. First though im going to get myself a comedy and moe fix.
