Revell 1/144 - MiG-29 Fulcrum -

The next practice model to be paint and the one with my favorite paint-work. Really very happy with the blue hues i got on this bird.


Shame the Revell model is under-scale, would be a great to build this properly if it where 1/144.
You can see the bare plasitc in the canopy where i rushed the model so i could use the airbrush, if i had just painted that black it would look like a alright build.

Revell - Y-Wing -

The non-scale or box scale Y-wing from Revell finished. Very easy and quick model this and for a practice model for the airbrush i think it turned out fine.


Random red marking, which i guess could make it Red Leader or something similar.

Revell 1/144 AV-8B Harrier II plus - [WIP 11/03]

Started the Harrier today, as with every model aircraft i make begin with the cockpit as per the intructions.

Added a little plasticarfd with break up the simple cockpit, need a thinner plasticard as what i used looks quite chunky. Then paint and a quick wash.

Painted up the turbine and glued up the cockpit.


Which was a mistake. Should have put the engine in first then glued, going to have to pull the model apart to get that in. I always get myself in these silly situtation due to not following the intruction corectly.

Gundam 08th MS Team - 1/144 HG - RGM-79 GM Sniper -

New kit i bought knowing it would'nt be up to much but bought to get the parts. Hoping build a better GM Sniper, which is a personal favorite.

Beam Sniper rifle was what i was really after and a very cool piece of kit it is. Since its an older HG kit the joint are really simple so the photo below is about the only pose i could really pull off except a standing pose.



Comes with a real nice bazooka aswell, never had any of my other gunpla come with this style of weapon before.

My next 1/144 build - AV-8B Harrier II plus - "VMA-321 Ace of Spades"

Next kit to build will be the AV-8B+ Harrier, VMA-231 "Ace of Spades".

Lucky to find the image ubove off Ebay of all places, only good referance ive been able to find of the exact marking i will be applying.


Looks like most of the kit will be Revell, from the images ive seen looks like the Revell kit is spot on.

The dragon kit is quite bad, reckon i will only end up using the weapons from that one, still nice box art.

Going to be using decals from booth kits as it seems that both company got the details wrong there and i can make it accurate my mix and match.

1/144 scale F-15 and MIG-29 Decaled

Got these decaled in no time, quite easy to decal with the gloss coat, never had such a easy ride wth the decals.

Most of the decals for the F-15 came from my decals spares as the one which came with the kit where ruined but the Mig-29 where still in good order.

Really liking the the 29, those red stars look quite cool, a cool scheme for a VF-1 im thinking.

1/144 scale F-15 and MIG-29 all painted and ready to decal.

Had good fun airbrushing these 2 espeacially the Mig-29 with it blue hues.  Reckon ive figured out the basics on the airbrush by the time there two where completed but then will see when i attempt a model ive taken time building.

Below photo is straight after airbrushing and the one above is a few little details paint and then engine, then sprayed a clear gloss coat ready for the decals. Great gloss coat like ive never achived from a rattle can before.

Have no decals for the F-15 going to have to use spares from left completed model, which might look wrong from what ive got to use.



Think i might buy some those hrow away glove due to my finger now being the same as the jets.

The next models to be used for airbrush practice.

My next bunch of model to get use to the airbrush with. Did'nt take put much effort into building them correctly, took me under an hour to get all these ready to paint and used only putty on the F-15 nose.

Revell 1/144 F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter - Much better than what i thought, has great detail. Might buy another to build.

Revell 1/44 SU-27 Flanker - Underscale and lacking detail, but still has the great shape of the Flanker.

LS 1/144 F-15 Eagle - An over 20 year model so lacking detail as expected but the shape is correct from what i can tell. Going to have to search out a better F-15 as it one sweet looking jet.

Macross DYRL? 1/144 - Super Valkyrie Skull Squadron -

The completed 1/144 scale Skull Squadron from The Super Dimension Fortress Macross - Do you remember love?

Was meant to post these straight after posting each Valkyrie from the squadron but forgot when i recieved the airbrush.

Really happy witht he way they've turned out, going to start building more random VF-1s which are rarely seen of completely non-canon.
 

Revell Y-wing Wip

Did a very quick job of adding a little something to the Y-wing. Used the gundam markers to add some kill marks and the red which i added at random, did'nt do anything special as this only being a practice model, only idea i had was that i wanted it to have red like some of the pre-production model of the y-wing ie seen.

Added silver scratch marks aswell but they've seemed to somewhat dissappear about 20 minutes after being applyed.

Nest to to add a heavy wash of the Promodellers wash which i always enjoy, should really dirty it up for that real world original trilogy style.
