Back to Tokyo for day 6 and off to Project144, which is like the biggest 1/144 scale event in the world and possibly the only one devoted to the scale.
Lucky i happened to be in Tokyo at the right time for this great event, wish i could have stayed longer.
Got to meet Koz who invited me along to the the project which was a pleasure and so many other 1/144 scale modeller who blogs i follow, all very kind fellows. Made me double my effort with my Japanese, thought i was quite good until i actually tried to engage in real conversations and not knowing enough vocab, got quite good at buying and understanding number when i was there.
Going to try and link to each modeller i can, i you know any i don't please leave a link if possible.

I walked from my hotel Washingtion Akihabara to the Project 144, on the way i saw my first itasha,
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha style, saw quite a few Miku Hatsune too.
Was a great event and i even got a freebie from Matuo-kasten which was incredibly kind. Surprised that a few of the modellers knew my work and most knew Bluedonkey
Wonder if such a thing would be possible in the UK?
Ian
I think it was a dream come true since you are into 144 scale modelling.
ReplyDeleteThats a great way of expressing whta i felt Leon and being in Japan also added to the effect.
ReplyDeleteman, those are lovely works, each and every one of them !!! the mini-dioramas are like little pieces of life... but i must say that the B-52 bomber plane is the most awesome =O... by the way, i don’t know anything about Bluedonkey, but i know your work and is precise and really nice =)
ReplyDeleteCheers chris, after visiting ive really want to make some diorama myself.

ReplyDeleteWould be great to get a 1/144 event in Europe, if not UK i'd expect one to be held in Czech, some great 1/144 modellers there.
Uekisyokunin was one of the few thre i did'nt know, all who have a blog i follow.
Ian
In my blog, I presented a report on the P144 in your blog.
ReplyDeleteThen, the Uekisyokunin "say thank you posted a picture to your blog" that was the comment.
It is located in the Czech manufacturer is eduard.
eduard launched the MiG-21 has heard that a very good kit.
In Japan, still can not buy. . .
BANDAI and eduard should be holding an 1/144 event in Europe, I think!
